Marine PC's & WIFI by IslandTime PC
S/V Dot's Way

In January, 2008 S/V Dot's Way, a Cabo Rico 38, got a late start south with a new IslandTime Wireless WiFi System added to their IslandTime PC, Pentium M computer. They've sent a few pictures of their installation and have been sending screen shots of their WiFi scans from various anchorages and marinas along the way.

Dot's Way chose to mount the Bridge case in a lazerette and run coax up the inside of their Garhauer Radar tower to the antenna mounted on top of the tower.

Selected Scans from along the Southeastern ICW.
You can generally get a good connection when the signal strength is less than -90 and connections between -90 & -95 are possible.
